Ennio Morricone is my favourite film composer. He passed away earlier this month, July 6. That same week I'd been considering doing a cover version of this song, and his passing prompted me to actually follow through with it. I couldn't find a transcription of the lyrics anywhere, so the vocals are my best approximation of the sounds I heard in the original (I don't speak a word of Italian). Please excuse my total butchery of the language.
